We fund nonprofit organization in three different ways.
Community Investment Grants
Every three years nonprofits in our our five-county service area; Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Waldo, and Washington Counties apply for funding through our grant making process. Programs who apply must align with our Bold Goals. Community volunteers review, score, and determine who will be funded. Click here to learn more.

During our annual campaign donors can designate their gifts to a 501(c)3 other than United Way. When that happens we process payments to those nonprofits and issue checks as funds are collected.
