25+ years of experience assisting nonprofits and universities design, fund, and advance strategic and innovative programing for underserved and at-risk populations. Prior to coming to United Way of Eastern Maine as Community Impact Director, I was the Assistant Director of Career Services at Husson University where I assisted college students with their career development, as well as designed and taught customized career related course content. I also worked as a grant writer for Northern Light Health as well as provided private consulting on grant applications and project management for hospitals and federally qualified health centers in rural Maine. Other prior roles include Assistant Professor in the Rehabilitation Placement Master of Science Degree program and Director of the Disability Resource Center at Drake University in DesMoines, Iowa and Transitional Employment and Job Placement Specialist in Madison, WI, where I collaborated with area businesses to develop employment opportunities for adults with disabilities I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Disabilities and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I also maintain professional certifications as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and as a Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner.
