I am thrilled to join the United Way of Eastern Maine (UWEM) as the Business Development Manager! I grew up in the Bangor area and UWEM has always been an organization that speaks to my heart. I bring perseverance, enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude to a well-established team focused on creating a healthier community.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Maine, as well as a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University. At Northeastern, I accepted a fellowship in the Integrated Graduate Research Traineeship (IGERT) where I learned valuable lessons in collaborative research across the traditional boundaries of science and engineering.
After a career as a Consulting Engineer and Project Manager for local Developer, I find myself exactly where I am meant to be. Effective communication with a broad group of community members is essential for success as UWEM works toward our Opportunity 2028 initiative. Meeting basic needs for all, supporting Substance Use Disorder, and ensuring that all children have quality learning experiences will ensure the continued vibrancy of our community.
I live in Bangor my wife, Kelley, our two sons, Cameron (age 7), and Maxwell (age 5), and our sweet puppy, Lottie. I serve on the board of directors at John Bapst Memorial High School. I also serve on the board of directors of Bangor West Little League as the Farm/Minor League director. I coach youth soccer and baseball, and I have volunteered as the secretary for Maine Jr. Black Bears. In my spare time, you may find me running, playing men’s league basketball, golfing, or playing cribbage.
