The Marketing & Campaign Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of special events and promotional efforts that increase the visibility of United Way in the community. The Coordinator is responsible for conveying an UWEM’s internal and external messages. This position will gather stories and provide written materials, prepare presentations and communicate with employees, donors, partners, businesses, nonprofits, and the community the story of UWEM.
The Coordinator helps develop and conduct highly successful workplace giving campaign throughout United Way of Eastern Maine’s (UWEM) five-county service area. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing relationships with employers and for assisting in the development of new employer relationships. The Coordinator is responsible for supervising volunteers and providing support to UWEM staff to implement strategies that ensure effective fundraising.
The Coordinator will demonstrate a focus on creativity, team work and problem-solving to support the creation and implementation of plans to help UWEM be successful in achieving its mission. A successful Marketing & Campaign Coordinator will demonstrate a strong team orientation and a commitment to efficiency, innovation and continuous improvement.

The Marketing Intern is responsible for providing support to United Way of Eastern Maine’s Resource Development & Communications department. This intern will work part time in the UWEM Office for 10 to 20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible. This position will create collateral materials, maintain and update UWEM’s social media, work on special projects, and more!
The ideal candidate will be proficient with Adobe Indesign, Illlustrator and Photoshop as well as Microsoft Office. Candidate must have a strong oral and written communication skills. Be energetic and self motivated, outgoing, and have an ability to work successfully in a team environment.

The Office Administration Intern is responsible for supporting general office functions and will provide administrative and office support for a team of 10 staff members. This individual will present a professional and positive first impression of United Way of Eastern Maine to those calling or visiting our offices. Responsibilities include administrative tasks and/or special projects, to include outreach, that support all of UWEM’s functions, our various programs, executive staff, and department managers.
The ideal candidate will be able to balance and coordinate workloads for multiple projects and departments while meeting deadlines, all while gaining valuable knowledge of our organization and skills that will translate to real-world employment experience.
