School Readiness Pilot

Bucksport Bay Early Childhood Network
Together, UWEM and the Bucksport Bay Early Childhood Network will work to engage the entire community in improving the lives of children through health, income, and education. By using a variety of strategies that work to improve all aspects of a child’s life the child will be better nurtured and ready for school. The national Born Learning Public Engagement Campaign will be used as one of many multi-pronged strategies in this five-year partnership.

The Network is also currently working to engage childcare providers, host the annual Children’s Fair, and compile local data in a school readiness report card.
