Services can be accessed by dialing 2-1-1 free of charge, or going online at www.211maine.org. 2-1-1 also provides emergency operations during times of natural and other disasters, and will provide valuable information for community planning and for future matching of resources and unmet needs. Statistics 2-1-1 includes a statewide directory of over 9,000 resources. Last year 2-1-1 put over 50,000 Mainers in touch with the assistance they needed. Statewide we currently receive over 4,500 calls a month and that number is growing. More than 2,800 low and moderate income individuals have received free tax preparation and financial resource support.
