How and Why

The partnership between United Way and its partner agencies can have powerful marketing and fundraising results for all of us. In particular, we believe that co-branding is critical to the success of the United Way campaign. Please actively co-brand with the United Way. Your visible support, and the visible support of your board and staff members, will heighten the community's awareness of United Way of Eastern Maine.

We always welcome more photographs of United Way events. Examples include special events, campaign kickoffs and finales and much more!

Report
Let us know how you are co-branding with United Way of Eastern Maine. Co-branding reporting is possible year-round; however if you would like success stories to be considered for the campaign video, the deadline is February 20, 2009. To report send an e-mail with title "co-branding" to Emma Pope-Welch, director of communications.

Co Branding Best Practices:

1. UW Signage at your offices and facilities. Please contact Emma Pope-Welch, director of Marketing &Communications, at 207-941-2800 x 208 for our sign options.

2. Positioning of the Partner UWEM logo and tag line on your annual report.

3. Positioning of the Partner UWEM logo and tag line on your monthly/quarterly newsletter or e-Newsletter.

4. Positioning a reminder to support the UWEM Campaign with UWEM logo and tag line during the fall to your board members, volunteers and staff.

5. Positioning of partnership language, the Partner UWEM logo and tag line on your media communication.

6. Utilization of United Way Posters, the UWEM video, UWEM Banners, UWEM Speakers during your annual employee United Way campaign.

7. Asked to be featured in the United Way annual video.

8. Asked to help co-brand PSA's with United Way all year, but especially in the fall.

9. Participate in UWEM sponsored employee presentations, agency fairs, etc.

10. Participate in the UWEM Days of Caring Projects!

United Way partners with the Creating Assets, $avings and Hope (CA$H) coalition to provide free tax assistance and financial resources to individuals in Eastern Maine. More than 2,800 low and moderate income individuals have received free tax preparation and financial resource support.
